Do you feel powerless about the amount of time your kids spend watching television or gaming? Take control!

Decide what chores your children need to do and how much media money each one is worth. When they do their jobs, they earn media coins. When they watch TV, play computer games or video games, they turn their coins back in to you. You can easily store them in your envelope (but pick a good hiding spot for it).

Maybe you just want to use the coins to monitor how much time your kids are spending watching TV and playing media games. Give them an allotment at the beginning of the week and make them stick to what you’ve allotted.

You can also take away coins when (this never really happens) they misbehave.
